Through all of our learning, we seek doctrine and principles. We also look for evidence of their truth through observation, experience, reasoning, experimentation and personal revelation. We then obediently apply the truth we find to all areas of our lives. This is the purpose of an education. The ability to provide for a family will be an outcome, but not the aim.
We focus on a principle (the what) connected to a doctrine (the why) each month. We strive to apply that principle to our lives and find evidence of its truth through personal goals or projects. We learn to find principles in what we read and test their validity.
